Step inside the legendary Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, where Hollywood glamour meets modern-day luxury. The elegant 395-room luxurious Beverly Hills hotel underwent major renovations in 2022. While some hotels start to show their age, the Beverly Wilshire does no such thing. After 95 years, the luxury property has withstood the test of time and consistently exceeds expectations. It is no wonder the Beverly Wilshire is one of the top luxury hotels in Beverly Hills

Where is the Beverly Wilshire located?

The iconic Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, is located at the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard. In the heart of Beverly Hills, the Beverly Wilshire is located at 9500 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, California.

Its sister property, the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, is also in the area.

Beverly Wilshire’s History Leads to a World-Renowned Hotel

The Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, was built in 1928 on the site of the Beverly Auto Speedway. Guests could once picnic at the Speedway and watch Model T Ford races. The famed hotel has come a long way since 1928. After a $65 million renovation, what was once the Regent Beverly Wilshire, officially became the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, in 1992.

Retaining its glamour, the Beverly Wilshire now boasts two towers and several restaurants. Guests of the Beverly Wilshire can also enjoy additional amenities such as the secluded Mediterranean-style pool modeled after Sophia Loren’s Italian private pool villa.

The Beverly Wilshire is also home to high-end boutiques such as Mikimoto, David Webb, and Jason of Beverly Hills. Plus, the Beverly Wilshire is home to an award-winning spa.

Pro Tip:  If an overnight stay is above your budget, you might still be able to enjoy a day by the Beverly Wilshire hotel pool by using Resort Pass.

While the Beverly Wilshire has played a supporting role in several movies, she is a star in her own right. To maintain the Four Seasons standards, the Beverly Wilshire recently completed a refresh of all guest rooms, suites, and specialty suites. The cool color tones combined with the natural light provide a rush of tranquility the moment a guest steps inside a renovated guest room. The bright and airy rooms bring a sense of calm in a sea of excitement.

Guests can choose from one of 17 newly renovated room categories, including 258 guestrooms and 137 suites that fill the 10 ten floors of the Wilshire Wing and 14 floors of the Beverly Wing.

For the WOW experience, book a stay in Penthouse Suite on the private, key-accessed 14th floor of the Beverly Wing. The Beverly Wilshire Penthouse is the largest guest room in the city at 5,000 square feet, beating out the competition at other luxurious hotels in and around Beverly Hills. The Penthouse includes a media room for screening movies, a living room and wrap-around balcony with 270-degree views of Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Hills, Century City, and Downtown LA. If that wasn’t enough, the spacious room also includes a gourmet kitchen, an oversize bedroom and bathroom, and an envy-worthy walk-in closet. For the full experience, book the adjoining rooms for a three-bedroom masterpiece! For those with a slightly smaller, although still lofty budget, the one-bedroom Beverly Suite with a balcony and views is also incredible.

Fun Facts About the Beverly Wilshire

The Beverly Wilshire has been home to famous stars throughout the years, such as Elvis Presley, Warren Beatty, and Steve McQueen. Some of them continue to receive fan mail decades after moving out.

You may have seen the Beverly Wilshire in several movies, such as Escape from the Planet of the Apes, Clueless, Sex and the City: The Movie, Valentine’s Day, and Pretty Woman.

Visitors can choose from 50 enticing services, including the luxurious Red Carpet Ready facial, signature 111SKIN customized treatments, and traditional spa services. A spa treatment is not complete without relaxing in the eucalyptus steam room followed by a stop at the “ice fountain” before stepping into the experience shower.

Pro Tip:  Visitors to the spa who are not hotel guests can use the spa facilities if they book an appointment of 90 minutes or more. Hotel guests are given complimentary access to the spa facilities.

What is the Best Beverly Wilshire Hotel Restaurant?

The answer depends on what you like to eat. If you are a steak lover, then hands down, you should treat yourself to a mouthwatering steak at the Michelin-starred restaurant CUT by Wolfgang Puck. The restaurant, beautifully designed by famed architect Richard Meier (of the Getty Museum), is an open space where the food shines. Wolfgang Puck’s own art collection accents CUT’s décor. While dining at CUT, you might even see Wolfgang Puck, who is known to stop by to check in on his diners.

Pro Tip:  If CUT is booked, try to grab a seat across the hall at CUT Lounge, a sexy bar serving craft cocktails and dinner from CUT.

At THEBlvd, choose from delicious California-centered cuisine, like the fresh salmon served with an arugula watermelon salad. TheBlvd is also known for its hamburgers! If you don’t have time for a full meal, have a fanciful cocktail at the glamorous art-deco bar.

For those who find their room too good to be true, you don’t have to leave. You won’t be the first to order room service either. Did you know that the room service department receives over 50,000 orders every year? Yes, you read correctly, over 50,000 orders. Popular room service items include the brioche French toast, the hamburger, or pastries handcrafted by the Beverly Wilshire’s talented pastry chef.

We have loved the Four Seasons hotels we have visited.  So we would certainly want to check out the elegant Beverly Wiltshire.  And it would be wonderful to check out the new renovations.  Maybe even try a Resort Pass if we can’t stay overnight.  Maybe we would even see a celebrity or two.
